busy summer

Things have been crazy for me. I have been cleaning out the house, spending time at Grubs and dealing with health issues with my mom. Going out of town this weekend for my birthday - let's hope that gives me some relief and fun. Things are going well at Grub's, just observing and learning. Hope everyone's summer is going well.

going into the 6th week

I have been enjoying the experience at Grub's even though like I said I am doing more observing. Friday was my last day of Spanish and I am soooo excited. People don't give enough credit to cooks sometimes - they don't have it easy. Being yelled at by the servers and trying to make all the food correctly and in a timely manner gets frustrating I am sure.

Job Experienc

I have worked a little a Grubs now. I am doing more observing than anything - they are a pretty busy place. I am just trying to learn and stay out of their way. They are all nice and it has been rather entertaining. I know now though definitly that I do not work to work in a kitchen owned by someone else. I am more of an independent cook. Have a good week.

2nd week class

It's the end of the 2nd week of class and a holiday weekend. I am going to do my lab at Grub's and I am excited about the experience. I am in Pine Bluff this weekend spending time with my family. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

1st week of class

I am getting very excited for this semester. Cooking is one of my passions so I am ready to rock and roll. Not really sure what all to post right now because having started the lab part yet. I am an independent cook, so I am sure it will be a little uncomfortable at first to have to follow someone else's lead but I am sure at the end of this I will have a better appreciation.
